High Voltage Lecturer/Trainer - International Course Delivery
Contract Role

£Competitive Day Rate + Expenses |UK-based with global travel

Are you a seasoned electrical professional with deep HV knowledge, a flair for training, and the confidence to lead international delivery? Our client, a respected UK-based electrical training provider, is seeking a dynamic Lecturer/Trainer (HV Electrical Engineer) to support their expanding global training operations-starting with a high-impact, 4-month programme in Abu Dhabi.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone with strong HV Electrical experience, ideally from a regulated industry background, who’s confident delivering training to small classroom groups (typically 5–8 delegates). This would suit someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge and real world experience in a structured, supportive training environment.

Ideally suited to an experienced High Voltage professional who thrives in an educational and client-facing environment. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical competence with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, especially to audiences where English may not be the first language. You’ll be the face of our client on site - ensuring smooth, professional delivery while representing their brand with pride and clarity.

The role involves:

  • 2–3 weeks of initial training at a UK site.
  • Occasional UK course delivery.
  • Followed by a 4-month assignment in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality HV electrical training courses to international delegates on behalf of our client.
  • Take the lead on-site to ensure training is conducted smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively, particularly to non-native English speakers.
  • Act as a trusted brand ambassador, maintaining professional conduct and high engagement throughout.
  • Provide accurate, timely reporting and feedback to both the client’s UK HQ and the end client overseas.
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment through effective classroom management, hands-on demonstrations, and client-focused adaptability.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience in High Voltage systems-particularly in line with industry safety standards and operational best practices.
  • Strong communication skills - clear, well-articulated spoken English to support diverse, international learner groups.
  • Proven training or lecturing experience  -whether in a formal educational setting or within an internal L&D or safety role.
  • Confidence in leading sessions solo - you’ll often be the main trainer on-site, with limited supervision.
  • Professionalism and cultural awareness - the ability to represent a UK training brand respectfully and effectively abroad.
  • Excellent reporting skills - capable of providing post-course summaries, learner feedback, and course delivery reports to multiple stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • UK-based and available for international travel at short notice.
  • Able to commit to the upcoming 4-month project in Abu Dhabi (5-day course delivery cycles).
  • Holds relevant technical qualifications or has gained significant experience through hands-on roles in HV systems.
  • Previous experience working in sectors such as power generation, transmission/distribution, marine, offshore, or industrial HV systems is advantageous.

Why Apply?

  • Opportunity to work with a highly respected UK training provider.
  • Represent a professional brand on the international stage.
  • Flexible, project-based working with excellent day rates and travel support.
  • Be part of a growing demand for skilled electrical trainers around the world.
