Morson Talent are currently looking for a Senior Reporting Analyst to join a nuclear new build project.
This is an inside IR35 contract role until December 2025 but then likely to be extended due to the length and size of the project.
This role can be based in either London or Suffolk (with travel as required) hybrid working arrangements are available.
To be a successful candidate you must have demonstrable experience of managing and developing performance reporting within a project environment across different projects and programmes. You’ll be confident in managing the requirements gathering process – challenging ambiguity and ensuring clarity. Further to this, you will always prioritise and be able to demonstrate excellent design, data visualisation and layout skills. You’d have excellent technical skills, working to a high standard and always thinking about the maintenance and resilience of your solutions. You’d be happy to share these excellent technical skills through coaching, training and overseeing the development of others - to ensure that requirements are satisfied, quality of work is ensured and timelines are observed. Finally, you’d also be an innovator – embracing the fast moving development of the tools we use and encouraging others to do the same.
The nature of the SZC Project is such that the requirements of the post may change as the Project develops. This Job Description describes the current Principal Accountabilities of this role but is not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive.
Principal Accountabilities, Activities and Decisions
• Development, publish, and schedule Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements
• Workshop facilitation with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
• Use data and statistical analysis to predict trends in the Delivery operations
• Using tools and techniques to visualise programme data in easy-to-understand formats
• Support the production of monthly reports through the provision of intelligent information and analysis
• Establish and foster working relationships with all appropriate stakeholders pursuant to the discharging of your responsibilities or in aid of theirs
• Facilitate and present at quarterly meetings of the ‘Reporting Community of Practice’
• Adherence to the current monthly Project Controls cycle and processes and support with any future development
Experience, Knowledge, & Qualifications
Essential
• All items detailed above as Principal Accountabilities
• 5+ years of Power BI development experience including advanced knowledge of DAX & M (Power Query).
• 5+ years of experience of performance reporting within a project environment including experience of capturing requirements and developing reporting outputs for multiple stakeholders on large and complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience of working with data from common Project & Project Controls systems
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage concurrent projects, prioritise workload and hit deadlines whilst ensuring outputs of the highest quality.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Excellent graphic design skills and experience of working with brand and data visualisation guidelines.
• Strong team player but with ability to lead small projects and work under own initiative.
Desirable
• Background in an additional project controls role such as Planning, Risk Management, Cost Management, Change Management
• Experience of working with data from common corporate systems e.g. SAP, Salesforce
• SharePoint configuration and development experience
• Experience of configuration and development of other Microsoft Power Platform tools including Power Apps and Power Automate
• Experiencing of supporting executive meetings and boards in the preparation and timely submission of high quality reports
