Quality Engineer

We have an exciting new opportunity for a QUALITY ENGINEER to be based at our clients premises in Berkshire.

About the Role:

The role is a key position within the business, overseeing the quality management system within a project environment and supporting the Workstream Quality Leads.
We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive quality professional to help drive the business forward and maintain and expand the current management certifications across all lines of business in both the Nuclear and non-nuclear industry sectors.

The role will be working closely with the Quality Manager and Construction Teams to ensure ITP compliance.
Compilation of Lifetime Records concurrently with construction works.
Key point of contact for all 3rd party Audits.
Managing current Quality certifications - developing Internal audit schedules and implementing them.
Managing the supply chain quality, inclusive of all pre-qualification assessments, supply chain audits, supply chain performance and general day-to-day management of the supply chain.
Monitoring the selection of/management systems of suppliers and subcontractors as part of Vendor assessment, to assure the company and its customers of the competence of suppliers and subcontractors.
Managing reporting via Project Improvements Notices, Defects and Non-Conformances to enable continuous improvement.
Assisting with resolution of any Quality related issues arising and liaising with internal and external parties as necessary.
The role is key to supporting all the lines of Business.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

5 Years’ Experience in Quality Assurance, preferably from a M&E / Welding / Fabrication / Civil background in a Quality Manager/Engineers role.
Internal and lead auditor qualifications.
Experience of leading 3rd party Audits BSEN ISO 9001 2015.
Experience of carrying out Internal audits.
Experience of supplier audits.
Ability to generate Quality procedures work instructions.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Experience of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
Ability to interact and influence at all levels in the organisation and in Clients/Third party organisations.
Ability to prioritise task execution in the context of tight programme constraints.
Ability to analyse situations objectively.
Good negotiating and conflict resolution skills.

Experience of working on Civil Nuclear, Defence or COMAH sites is preferable but not essential
