Core Duties
As a Lead PM&C Professioanl, you’ll manage the full spectrum of Project Monitoring, Planning and Cost Control across various projects and programmes:
- Take ownership of project reporting, scheduling, cost analysis and risk management
- Lead a small high-performing team (up to 5 professionals)
- Drive best practices in both traditional and agile project control methodologies
- Influence internal stakeholders and support PMs across the full project lifecycle
- Identify, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Applies appropriate PM&C methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Agrees PM&C approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
- Consolidate expertise from multiple sources, including third party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives. Supports and promotes the development and sharing of specialist knowledge within the organisation.
- Deliver measurable value with minimal guidance, working at the heart of a critical programme
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifcations:
Proven experience in project planning, cost engineering, and performance control
Deep knowledge of PM&C tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, cost systems)
Confidence in managing project risks, benefits, and reporting across complex environments
A PM qualification (e.g. APM PMQ) and a track record of hands-on delivery
Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with the ability to coach junior staff and shape processes
