Job Title: Civil Engineer – Building Design
Location: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days in the office – UK-based)
Contract Type: 6-Month Contract (with potential extension based on workload)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: Flexible, dependent on experience and skills
Expenses: Covered for travel to and from project sites
Vetting Level: BPSS or SC (eligible candidates only)

About the Role:
Morson Talent is excited to be recruiting on behalf of AtkinsRéalis, a global leader in engineering and design consultancy. We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Building Design Practice, contributing to a range of impactful infrastructure projects across the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality civil design solutions for building and infrastructure projects
Design and analyze drainage systems, utilities, pavements, access roads, and earthworks
Prepare project documentation and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Ensure compliance with relevant UK design standards and industry codes
Participate in BIM workflows and digital design environments (BIM 360)
Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and clients
Assist with project planning, technical assurance, and quality control
Travel to project sites when required (expenses covered)
Requirements:
Essential:
Honours Degree in Civil Engineering (or HND with significant experience)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in civil engineering (preferably buildings-focused)
Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Experience in drainage, utilities, pavement, and logistics/access design
Familiarity with current UK design standards and practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
Actively working towards ICE chartership
Desirable:
Experience with Revit and BIM 360
Understanding of parametric design and digital engineering workflows
SC clearance or eligibility (must have 5 years of UK residency)
UK Driving Licence
