DV Clearance is preferred but SC is essential
Nuclear safety case experience preferred
Must have experience of substantiating control systems in a highly regulated industry
Must have ability to work unsupervised and liaise with clients and contractor organisations to establish substantiating evidence
Glovebox design experience preferred

The Role

The ideal candidate for the role must have the following:

Experience of substantiating control systems in a highly regulated industry
Ability to work unsupervised and liaise with clients and contractor organisations to establish substantiating evidence
Production of CE&I design concepts, e.g. (SLD’s, BCD’s, cable schedules, layouts, etc).
Knowledge of control system hardware and software.
Experience in Functional Safety (BSEN 61508 & 61511).
Produce designs that conform to the relevant British and European standards and client requirements.
Produce and maintain an LTQR / Technical File in accordance with NSG Quality Management Systems.
Ensure that the design addresses operability, maintainability, and safety issues.
Produce designs that meet with project programmes and budgets.
Produce design justification reports that demonstrate the design mitigates all technical risks identified.
Production of functional safety and controls design documentation including FDS, SIDD and Functional Safety Plan.
Produce a level of information (drawings, specifications, works instructions, etc) that enable manufacturing to take place.
Check in-house and subcontract drawing documentation.
Production of CE&I technical specifications.
Production of Commissioning documentation, e.g. FAT and SAT.
Subcontract supplier management.
Attendance and witnessing of Commissioning activities.
Glovebox design experience preferred
Nuclear safety case experience preferred

Essential
Relevant Engineering Degree, HNC or demonstrable equivalent experience
Broad based engineering experience in design and manufacturing
Design of electrical systems
Low voltage control gear
Control Systems
