Crane Coordinator BEP

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Crane Coordinator for BEP to be based at Sellafield site in West Cumbria.

About the role:
To support the Lifting Manager in the execution of his duties, ensuring adequate manpower, plant, equipment and accessories are available in accordance with agreed programmes and schedules.

The Lifting superintendent will be responsible for but not limited to:
Ensure cranes are issued safely and effectively in accordance with the project EOTC procedure.
Ensure all EOTC checks are carried out prior to issue of the crane.
Ensure no other work groups are working in the crane restricted Zone.
Ensure correct lifting documentation is in place before issuing crane for use.
Ensure attendance at Lifting Operations Site Stake Holder meetings.
Regular site walk downs to ensure adherence with the EOTC procedure.
Mandatory attendance at the project Plod.
Manage isolations of the cranes with the JV electrical department.
Facilitate work wen required within the crane exclusion zone (Crane maintenance activities).
To liaise and coordinate the interface with other site personnel and team functions within the work areas ensuring sim ops are carried out safely and efficiently.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:
CSCS card.
Previous experience with all types of overhead cranes.
