Project Controls Lead

Morson Talent are representing a leaer within the UK Energy Sector who have a current requirement for a Project Controls Lead to join their established team on a contract basis.  All work is associated with Europe’s largest construction/infrastructure Project in Somerset.   Location:  Somerset Energy & Innovation Centre with hybrid working options available.  Inside IR35.

Principal Activities:

1. Lead the operation and maintenance of the Performance Management Tool which is utilised for capturing the construction progress from the on-site construction activities.

2. Deputise for the HK8010 Head of Project Controls at Performance related Meetings.
3. Supporting Head of Project Controls with all management reporting.
4. Liaise with Site Supervision and Area Leads to ensure allocation sheets all submitted in a timely manner and data verified & validated prior to system load.
5. Prepare and own the processes that underpin the Reporting data.
6. Lead all reporting requirements inputs into the Weekly Dashboard.
7. Liaising with the necessary stakeholders in construction, planning and project controls.
8. Ensuring construction teams provide progress data in a timely manner.
9. Provide and demonstrate a positive commitment to Right first-time reporting.
10. Deliver Construction Progress/Productivity Reports.
11. Deliver Utilisation and Complexity reporting.
12. Accurately load ProCon with Task order information.
13. Reconcile/Load Task order Compensation events etc. into ProCon.
14. Support the use of the ProCon system to support the construction works and progress reporting of the MEH Alliance.
15. Chair weekly Performance Meeting to review weekly report outputs.
16. Lead Site Performance team and mentor apprentices.
17. Provide support to business improvement initiatives to enhance system reporting capabilities, speed, accuracy, frequency & presentation.

Other

1. Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher)

2. Demonstrable experience of learning and utilising software applications.
3. Ability to work with limited supervision, using own initiative
4. Ability to work well within a team, collaborating with other teams/functions
5. Positive, can-do mentality
6. Demonstrate attention to detail
