EUC / Workplace Architect - £700 to £725 per day - Inside IR35 - Hybrid working with 1 day a week on site in Warwick - 3 month initial contract.
My client, a leading technology company and specialist in the UK’s critical digital infrastructure, is looking an experienced EUC / Workplace Architect to join them on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Modern Workplace strategy to support the business objectives. This role will play a crucial part in driving innovation, ensuring future readiness, and maximizing the utilization of existing technologies such as MS365, SharePoint, Desktop, and Mobile Device Management across the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and deliver Technical Workplace Strategy/Vision and roadmap aligned with business priorities.
Own and identify overall endpoint device strategy.
Manage the BAU Technical Workplace Engineer Team.
Lead and coordinate key Technical Workplace projects and initiatives.
Champion innovation forums to explore and implement emerging technologies.
Define standards and guidelines for hardware and software configurations.
Ensure desktop infrastructure meets established security policies and compliance requirements.
Key Deliverables:
Develop and socialize key workplace strategies and roadmaps.
Advise the Head of User Experience on Workplace strategy and toolsets.
Identify emerging technologies and trends in the digital workplace space.
Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of digital tools and platforms.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure desktop infrastructure compliance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Workplace issues.
Secure Desktop including Build Engineering, Patch & Lifecycle Management, etc.
Qualifications / Skill Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field.
Demonstrable experience as a desktop architect or similar role.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Desirable Qualifications / Skills:
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Desktop Administrator, VMware Certified Professional).
Strong knowledge of digital workplace technologies and collaboration tools.
Understanding of change management principles.
