IT Project Manager - Contract Role
Location: Barnsley (3-4 days onsite per week)
Rate: £500-600/day (Outside IR35)
Contract Length: 3-6 months (with potential for extension)
Start Date: ASAP

Overview
Our client is seeking a highly experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver multiple IT and business system projects across the organisation. This role will focus on ERP system enhancements, with a particular emphasis on COINS, and will work closely with senior stakeholders across finance, HR, and procurement functions.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple IT projects, with a focus on COINS ERP system implementation and optimisation
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Accounts Payable, Finance, HR, and Procurement to gather requirements, define priorities, and manage expectations
- Ensure disciplined project governance, including clear status reporting, milestone tracking, and risk/issue management (RAID logs)
- Drive decision-making through confident and structured communication, with the ability to challenge constructively and push back where needed
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage third-party vendors (if applicable), and ensure resource planning aligns with project timelines and budget
- Ensure clarity and structure in reporting, documentation, and stakeholder updates
- Manage project risks, budgets, and resource allocations effectively throughout the lifecycle

Key Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Senior IT Project Manager
- Strong ERP implementation experience, ideally with COINS in a construction or engineering environment
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - able to work with senior leaders (Finance Director, HR Director, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of project delivery disciplines, including RAID logs, budget tracking, risk management
- Confident communicator - able to present project status clearly and influence senior stakeholders
- Structured, disciplined, and proactive in approach
- Experience in procurement or project delivery in finance-related systems is a strong advantage
