Valuations Manager – Permanent – London – Hybrid Working

My client is a leading global private markets investment firm seeking a Valuations Manager to lead and manage their Valuations function. This is a hands-on and high-impact role, focused on ensuring timely and accurate portfolio valuations across a wide range of private equity and infrastructure assets, while guiding a growing team and collaborating with global stakeholders.

As a key member of the Operations department, you will play a central role in managing internal controls, leading audit and regulatory valuation processes, and evolving the operating model. You’ll also be responsible for presenting updates to the Global Valuation Committee and managing third-party service provider relationships.

The Senior Associate, Valuations Manager is expected to:

Oversee and coordinate all quarterly valuation processes and reviews.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Valuations team, embedding a collaborative and analytical culture.

Act as the primary escalation point for complex valuation queries and provide expert oversight.

Drive continuous improvement across valuation models, controls, and systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery.

Represent the team in global forums, such as the Valuation Committee, and take ownership of decisions and their implementation.

Ensure data integrity and support the evolution of the valuations control framework.

The successful Valuations Manager will possess:

ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with 5+ years post-qualification experience.

Strong technical grounding in private markets valuations, ideally within a fund-of-funds environment.

Experience managing people and processes in a high-performing finance or operations function.

A robust understanding of controls, governance, and risk within a regulated environment.

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including third-party oversight.

A proactive mindset with the ability to independently drive process enhancements.

Data management and statistical analysis experience; exposure to system transformation projects is a plus.
