Senior Valuations Analyst – Permanent – London – Hybrid Working
My client is a leading global private markets investment firm seeking a Senior Valuations Analyst to join their growing Valuations function. This is a hands-on role, focused on delivering accurate and timely portfolio valuations across a wide range of private equity assets, while supporting the wider operations and investment teams.
As a key member of the Operations department, you will play a vital role in reviewing fund valuations, performing quality control checks on complex data sets, and supporting the preparation of reports for valuation committees. You’ll also contribute to ongoing improvements in systems and processes, and act as a point of contact for valuation queries across the business.
The Senior Valuations Analyst is expected to:
• Review and validate fund valuations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data submitted by analysts.
• Support the organisation and delivery of quarterly, monthly, and ad hoc valuation cycles.
• Assist in the production of valuation committee papers and participate in key stakeholder meetings.
• Help coordinate workload and workflow within the team, acting as a go-to resource for valuation-related matters.
• Identify areas for operational improvement and collaborate with development teams to enhance systems and processes.
• Support the training and technical development of more junior team members.
• Work with the Portfolio Data Team to maintain and monitor underlying private company data.
The successful Senior Valuations Analyst will possess:
• A degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Solid understanding of private equity fund-of-fund valuations, including IPEV guidelines and underlying portfolio company data.
• Experience reviewing and interpreting financial statements, ideally within a private markets or asset management setting.
• Knowledge of bottom-up valuation techniques and financial data analysis.
• A detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and team-driven approach.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools or system enhancement projects is advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within one of the world’s leading private markets investors. You’ll gain exposure to a sophisticated portfolio, join a collaborative team, and help shape best practices in valuation oversight and portfolio monitoring.
