Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day inclusive of paid break. start/end times flexible
A respected and sustainability-focused manufacturing business based in Wrexham is looking to recruit a Quality Technician to join their on-site Quality Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with laboratory experience and a strong eye for detail to support key quality assurance activities within a fast-paced production environment.

The Role
As a Quality Technician, you will carry out a broad range of quality testing and analysis, working closely with production and technical teams to ensure products meet internal and customer specifications. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement, audit readiness, and development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collection of all production samples for testing.
• Conduct all testing required including but not limited to pH, colour, alkalinity, viscosity, bulk density, whiteness, particle size, dirt filter and ash.
• Analysis of all results against product and customer specifications.
• Ensure knowledge of customer specifications is always up to date.
• Report and action all out of specification results, in a timely manner.
• Liaise with production to investigate and resolve process failures and enhance product and process knowledge.
• Accurately record all results and update Dynamics in a timely manner.
• Manage the physical release and quarantine of stock on site.
• Run Dynamic on-hands reports to locate and identify stock electronically.
• Follow all batch orders through to completion, from validation, to up/downgrade.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment, as required.
• Determine the most valuable rework of out of specification product.
• Communicate between shifts with detailed and suitable handovers.
• Participate in any Continuous Improvement (CI), and New/Existing Product Development (NPD/EPD) projects.
• Conduct ring tests, working with our client’s other laboratories.
• Undertake routine GMP audits.
• Supporting in all ISO 9001, site and customer audits.
• Provide required cover in the absence of the Laboratory Supervisor.
• Undertake any other duties relevant to the tasks and responsibilities identified above.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills: (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook / Dynamics 365).
