Project Engineer Cranfield

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer for our client based in Cranfield. This is a permanent role and will be based on site 5 days per week.  The role will be working on a facilty manufacturing parts for the nuclear industry. 

They are expanding our engineering team and are actively seeking professionals with backgrounds in Mechanical, Electrical, and Control & Instrumentation (C&I) engineering.

• Contribute to a wide range of projects across the station, including:

• Maintain and oversee engineering systems, ensuring they operate efficiently, safely, and reliably.

• Apply core engineering principles to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges.

• Conduct performance and safety tests on mechanical systems; analyze data, document findings, and implement improvements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and other departments to ensure seamless system integration and functionality.

• Recommend and implement design/process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety.

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

• Must be eligible for or already possess security clearance (vetting will be required prior to starting).

• Previous experience in the nuclear industry is highly desirable but not essential.
