Scottish Power are looking for an Operations Lead to join them on a 3 month contract.

Role: Operations Lead
Business: Scottish Power
Location: Aspect House, Blantyre/hybrid style working
Duration: 3 month contract
Rate: £21.62ph PAYE (Umbrella working also available)

Job Purpose Statement
ScottishPower will deploy c5m meters to meet its mandatory obligation for Smart Metering. It will meet this mandate through the purchase, ownership and operation of these assets through its meter asset provision business (MAP) to meet this commitment. This MAP business will have assets under management of c£800m by the end of the Smart Programme and will continue to be the MAP function for SPERL and all other churn suppliers into the future.

The Operations Team is part of the MAP business and is responsible for invoicing rental on all installed meters.

The main purpose of this role within the MAP business is to:

  • Assist the Operations Team in managing the asset management process that tracks and monitors every element of the metering asset from initial procurement to end of life
  • Help to provide robust data and analysis on all assets within the churn process to ensure that all bills are accurate and disputes are minimised
  • Assist the team with managing and reviewing those rental charge disputes that are received
  • Ensure all industry flows required by the MAP business are received on time and report daily on this performance
  • Complete weekly reporting on Key Performance indicators and operational controls
  • Monitor service standards to ensure that all work is of an excellent standard and that data collected and processed meets the quality and time criteria set by all contracted parties

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Project/Delivery/Operations coordination experience
  • Strong IT skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience in managing large data sets
  • Creative thinker who is able to challenge existing business operating practices and policies
  • Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity and incomplete data in the option development and decision-making processes
  • Strong planning and co-ordination skills. Ability to prioritise work and deliver results whilst managing multiple stakeholders and competing demands within a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
