Data Customs Administrator

Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a Customs Data Administrator to work on the behalf of one of our reputable Aerospace clients based in Yeovil, Somerset. This role is a 12 month contract Position, with potential to extend.

JOB PURPOSE

Your purpose is to provide support to the Trade Compliance Function specifically towards the Customs Import Declaration Data to review and verify accuracy of data and documentation and to escalate any discrepancies identified to the Trade Compliance Specialist responsible for the operational/tactical activity.

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Review Commodity Codes
• Review Duty Rates and Import VAT
• Review Values of Goods
• Review ownership of goods under the nature of transaction
• Review Currency Valuations are Consistent
• Action responses post discrepancy declaration
• Report productivity efficiently into the Project Manager and TCS on a daily basis

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• SAP and SAP GTS experience is desirable but not essential
• UK Customs knowledge and experience is desirable but not essential
• Skilled in analysing information and solving problems
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage workload and capability to organise activities according to expected deadlines and business needs.
• To have the desire to learn and adapt as the requirement arises
