Cloud Platform Manager

Our Client:

Is a leading employer in the Greater Manchester area with multiple sites across the UK who offer their services to millions of customers each year. They are undergoing a large transformation programme that is one of the largest in the UK and includes a variety of unique technology projects.

Your Role:

As the Platform Manager, you will own the end-to-end cloud and on-prem technology services, champion innovative solutions, work with the wider business to meet the company’s long term aims and lead a team of engineers and architects.

This role can offer hybrid working arrangements, allowing you to work from home for half of your week.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the hosted and cloud platform designs and implementations to ensure these deliver maximum value.
• Manage a budget of £2M of capital investment.
• Support a portfolio of strategic change projects across the technology estate.
• Direct line management for a team of up to eight.

Essential Experience:

• Managed, planned, and operated private, public and hybrid cloud environments in large, critical regulated environments.
• Technical knowledge covering VMWare, Cloud platforms (Ideally AWS), on prem and hosted environments.
• Collaborated with stakeholders from all levels of an organisation to gain detailed business requirements and communicated technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Managed, coached, and developed technology teams. Fostered a culture of learning, self-development and implemented best working practises.
