Titanium Welder
Location: Daventry
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Full-time Permanent
I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist manufacturer supplying high-spec, precision-engineered components for demanding, quality-driven industries. We’re looking for an experienced Titanium Welder to join their skilled fabrication team.
This role requires a hands-on, detail-focused individual who can deliver exceptional TIG welds on titanium components to meet the extremely high standards set by end customers. If you have experience working in controlled environments and can work independently to tight tolerances, I’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out TIG welding of titanium components, including within inert welding environments such as purge chambers, gloveboxes, or cabinets.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company SOPs and quality standards.
- Manufacture high-quality parts and assemblies using jigs and fixtures, from technical drawings or production specifications.
- Perform regular maintenance and housekeeping of equipment and work areas.
- Prepare components for welding, ensuring they are fit, clean, and ready for assembly.
- Build and finish welded assemblies in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Work to defined production schedules, meeting output and quality targets.
- Participate in new product builds, engineering change work, and prototype development.
- Support the Quality team with jig/fixture evaluations and continual improvement initiatives.
- Sign off first-off and last-off inspections in the titanium welding area.
- Train and support colleagues on titanium welding procedures, including documentation and risk assessments.
- Operate supplementary equipment as needed to complete jobs to spec.
- Report fabrication or equipment issues promptly and assist with resolutions.
- Carry out any other tasks as directed by the Shopfloor Supervisor.
What Were Looking For:
- Proven experience welding titanium, ideally in inert conditions (e.g. purge chamber or glovebox).
- Strong understanding of TIG welding standards and best practices.
- High attention to detail – quality and precision are key in this role.
- Effective communicator with solid literacy and numeracy skills.
- Team player with a proactive, flexible attitude and willingness to adapt.
- Able to manage your own workload and perform under minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working additional hours when required to meet project deadlines.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
If youre an experienced titanium welder looking for a rewarding role in a precision-focused environment, this could be a fantastic fit. Feel free to reach out to discuss the opportunity further.
