Morson Talent are delighted to represent a major player within the UK Renewable Energy Sector who have a current requirement for a supply chain Vendor Onboarding Coordinator to join their established team at Rainton Bridge, Durham. This is a great opportunity for an organised, confident, customer focussed self-starter to jump on board and make things happen! 12-month (renewable) contract position – inside IR35. Hybrid working options available.

Broad scope:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the onboarding process for new vendors, ensuring their smooth integration into our client’s organisation via the HXIC portal (supplier management platform). To facilitate this process and make it as simple as possible for internal and external stakeholders, you will be responsible for guiding them successfully through the vendor program of onboarding so that they can manage their requirements going forward. To achieve this, you will develop and deliver training/information sessions to equip stakeholders with the necessary knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the activity of vendor onboarding.

Excellent communication and organisational skills together with a honed attention to detail are key components for success in this role.

Typical Activities:

  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new vendors, including gathering required documentation (compliance), verifying qualifications, and conducting vendor assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new vendors into systems and processes.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training and guidance programs for internal and external stakeholders, covering topics such as online operational procedures, and customer service excellence.
  • Create training materials, presentations, and manuals to support vendor training initiatives.
  • Conduct in-person or virtual training sessions to educate internal and external stakeholders on Company policies, standards, and expectations.
  • Monitor vendor performance, maintain vendor database and provide ongoing support and guidance to address any gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements such as vendor categorisation and automation within the vendor onboarding and training function.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of vendor onboarding and training activities.
  • Where required, support the Asset Operations Procurement team including the purchase of all required goods, materials, consumables, spare parts and equipment via the IFS system to meet operational needs and plans, track and expedite incoming orders.

Criteria

  • Educated to A ’Level’/ GNVQ Business Studies or equivalent qualification with the ability to demonstrate supply chain and procurement experience.
  • Previous experience of working in an operational environment, ideally with an engineering or industrial sector background would be ideal.
  • Working knowledge of Procurement
  • CIPS desirable
  • HICX – supplier management platform (or equivalent) knowledge and experience is highly advantageous
  • IFS knowledge and experience is preferred.
