Talent Advisor

Talent Advisor. Permanent. Based in Manchester City Centre.

Hybrid working 3 days in and 2 from home. Salary up to £40,000 PA + benefits package.

PURPOSE

As part of our exciting and ambitious growth strategy which includes the acquisition and development of new clients and venues into the European portfolio; we have created a new role of Talent Advisor to join our Talent department as part of the UK HR team.

This is a fantastic time to join an exciting, fast paced Company and this role will play a vital part in the set up and development of an in-house Recruitment function to enable our future growth.

 Working as part of a team of three and reporting into the Talent Acquisition Manager you will support the business in the recruitment of both permanent and casual roles across a variety of disciplines to include Head Office, Box Office, Events, Operations, Security, Estates, Sales and Food & Beverage, across our UK locations. You will be responsible for identifying suitable routes to market to enable the Company to attract the best talent and support the brand awareness of ASM Global in the marketplace.

As part of our investment in new technology to include ATS, HR and Payroll systems, you will play a vital role in helping to implement the ATS to ensure it is set up to support the hiring manager and candidate journey in the best possible way.

You will be expected to gain the trust and confidence of Hiring Managers through strong relationship management and the execution of tried and tested recruitment practices.

Your role will play a significant role in promoting the brand and supporting our ambitions of becoming an employer of choice. Finding creative and original ideas to recruit and attract top talent in a competitive industry will involve adopting proactive practices to recruitment such as industry networking and headhunting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess and evaluate the candidate journey with a view to implementing positive change and placing the candidate experience at the forefront.
  • Work closely with Hiring Manager to promote the Recruitment function and use your powers of persuasion and influence to prove why in-house recruitment is more effective than utilising recruitment agencies.
  • Look to enhance KPI performance in relation to Time to Hire (TTH) and actively reduce agency spend.
  • Responsible for the creation of exciting, original and stand out job adverts and job descriptions that entice candidates to want to explore a career with the business.
  • Seek creative ways of exploring both passive and active recruitment markets for example, headhunting, industry networking, job fairs, ex-military, working parents, ED&I groups, job boards.
  • Assess and evaluate the internal talent pool with a view to promoting opportunities and identifying key talent.
  • Support in the creation of recruitment plans for new/upcoming venues as part of the mobilisation planning process.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • At least three years’ experience of holding a recruitment/talent advisor role.
  • Ideally in possession of both recruitment agency and in-house recruitment roles.
  • Demonstrable experience of reducing recruitment agency spend.
  • Proven ability to influence, coach and persuade hiring managers to your way of thinking.
  • Strong concise communication skills to include verbal, presentation, written skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, drive, attention to detail, urgency.
  • Flexible attitude to work, able to travel to any of our venues as and when the business requires.
