Overview:
We are now looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join a leading Security business in Blackburn on a full-time basis. The business is open to a permanent employee, or an interim professional joining the team. As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high quality financial information to support with Statutory Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Collaboration with external tax advisors for tax return preparation
• Facilitation of internal and external audits
• VAT return preparation
• Internal compliance checks and testing
• Mentorship and coaching of junior team members.

Requirements:
• Ideally qualified as a financial accountant (ACA/ACCA)
• Strong technical accounting skills from practice or industry experience
• Familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP, along with detailed tax knowledge
• Experience in audit preparation
• Proficiency in Excel and other systems
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.
