Defence Hardware / Systems Specialist
I am just contacting you as I am looking for a Defence Hardware / Systems Specialist, for Morson Projects, You will grow, lead, manage and develop multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective allocation of the correct team members to meet our Customers’ project timelines and quality standards. You will provide mentorship and technical leadership to team members, driving growth and expertise in (typically) DO-254 practices.
Salary on offer is £80000 – £90000 per annum.
Defence Hardware / Systems Specialist
You will grow, lead, manage and develop multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective allocation of the correct team members to meet our Customers’ project timelines and quality standards. You will provide mentorship and technical leadership to team members, driving growth and expertise in (typically) DO-254 practices.
Collaborating with multi-functional teams within Morson Projects and in our Customers to achieve delivered projects within schedule and budget constraints, you will oversee and monitor the development of Design and/or Verification and Validation strategies, processes, and documentation to comply with DO-254 objectives and lifecycle data requirements,
What we’re looking for from you:
- A strong understanding of systems engineering methods, toolsets, and processes.
- Ideally, experience of Weapon System systems design and validation. However, experience of a complex system’s product development is essential.
- Experience working across the full engineering development lifecycle.
- Experience of carrying out systems integration.
- An understanding of Electromagnetic Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Support / Surveillance systems.
- A strong record of delivery.
- Experience in capability assessments and road-mapping.
- Track record of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in requirements management toolsets (e.g. DOORS).
- Candidates must hold, or be willing to apply for, at least DV clearance and have single UK citizenship.
Candidates must have considerable, in-depth experience of at least one of the following, and demonstrable working knowledge of several others.
Radar, microwave, Antenna Design, Laser Physics, Optical Design, Comms standards – RS422, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, Computational Electromagnetic Modelling, Low Observability, Imaging Systems, Navigation, Directed Energy Weapons – RF and LASER, guided weapons, UAVs.
