NC Programmers Wanted – Start ASAP | Aerospace Defence Project | ITAR Controlled
We’re hiring experienced NC Programmers to join an exciting Aerospace Defence project in Bristol. If you’re a CATIA V5 expert with a strong background in machining and airframe production, this is your chance to work on a high-priority programme where your expertise will make a real impact.
Due to the nature of the work, you’ll need to be ITAR compliant and security cleared before starting – fast-track clearance is possible for candidates with a clean DBS. Once cleared, you’ll be working from a secure ITAR-restricted location.
What You’ll Be Doing
This isn’t a plug-and-play role — we need experienced professionals who can help shape the project from the ground up. You’ll be joining a team where the infrastructure is still being established, so we’re looking for people who go beyond just using CATIA — we need people who can lead with their technical knowledge and help define machining strategies from day one.
You’ll be:
Resolving cell-related NC programming issues and reducing non-conformances
Developing efficient, cost-effective machine programming methods using CATIA V5
Supporting the introduction of new parts/projects with minimal existing setup
Working closely with manufacturing engineers, production teams, and external suppliers
Ensuring compliance with ITAR, Export Control regulations, and site safety/environmental policies
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
Strong CATIA V5 experience
At least 5 years in a similar NC programming role, ideally within aerospace or airframe manufacturing
Solid understanding of machining and manufacturing processes
Able to work independently, with minimal infrastructure in place
Experience over qualifications – we value hands-on capability more than formal education
Nice-to-Have:
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
Flexibility to occasionally travel to Holland (not frequent)
