About the Role
As a Senior Test Development Engineer, you’ll take ownership of test equipment design across board, sub-system, and full system levels. You’ll be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and long-term technical support of our test systems — ensuring our complex hardware functions flawlessly.
What You’ll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong background in test software design
Deep knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation
Proven success managing designs into production
Excellent troubleshooting and system integration support skills
Must be eligible for MOD Security Clearance (minimum SC level)
Highly Desirable
Significant industry experience in test development
Proficiency with Mentor Graphics tools
Understanding of PXI/LXI test architectures
Knowledge of Measurement Uncertainty in test design
Experience with NI LabView, TestStand, CVI, and C#
Design of mixed-signal circuits and high-speed serial networks
Appreciation for RF electronics and power supply design
️ Key Responsibilities
Lead the design of test equipment for circuit cards, sub-assemblies, and systems
Mentor and guide junior engineers, while upholding engineering excellence
Collaborate across disciplines to define system interfaces and test protocols
Develop and validate test hardware/software to ensure performance and reliability
Support production and manage lifecycle of test systems, including obsolescence
Participate in design reviews, project planning, and compliance initiatives
Be a go-to technical expert and interface with suppliers and customers
Champion safety, ethics, and continuous improvement across all engineering activities
