SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE MANAGER

Location: multiple locations (North, Central, and South of England)
Salary: £21.63-26.44/hr (equivalent to £45,000-55,000/annum)
Type of role: Contract (Temporary to Permanent)

About Company & Role
Our client is a prominent railway infrastructure company, dedicated to innovation and excellence in rail solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supplier Performance Manager to join our client’s team.
The Supplier Performance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the performance of suppliers within our client’s rail network. This role involves monitoring supplier performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

Key Responsibilities
1. Supplier Evaluation: Assessing the performance of existing suppliers based on predefined metrics such as quality, delivery, cost, and service level agreements (SLAs).
2. Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitoring supplier performance through regular reviews, site visits, and data analysis to identify any deviations from agreed-upon standards.
3. Issue Resolution: Collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to address any performance issues or concerns in a timely manner, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
4. Contract Management: Working closely with the procurement team to review and negotiate supplier contracts, including terms and conditions related to performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
5. Continuous Improvement: Developing and implementing strategies to improve supplier performance, including process optimization, performance incentives, and supplier development programs.
6. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks associated with supplier performance and implementing proactive measures to mitigate these risks, ensuring uninterrupted supply chain operations.
7. Reporting: Generating regular reports and dashboards to track supplier performance metrics, highlighting areas of improvement and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
8. Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering open communication, and addressing any issues or concerns to enhance collaboration and partnership.

Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (X years) in supplier management or procurement within the rail industry or a similar sector.
• Strong understanding of rail industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and performance monitoring.
