SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER (HYBRID WORKING)

Morson are recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager on behalf of a leading Defence client based onsite at Barrow Shipyard. This is initially a contract position to cover a 14-month maternity leave, although highly likely to lead to other opportunities within our client’s growing organisation.

Supply Chain Manager Pay rate:

£39.51 per hour PAYE plus £5.74 per hour Holiday pay (£45.23)/ OR £53.24 umbrella

  • PLEASE NOTE – UNABLE TO OFFER LIMITED COMPANY RATE DUE TO IR35

Supply Manager working arrangements:

3 days on site required.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER OVERVIEW:

To manage a team of professional staff in the delivery of the Functional Strategy and Plan for the area / portfolio that has been assigned to the individual.

Deliver the product by ensuring that direct reports have purpose and clarity and are empowered to meet key delivery targets within an acceptable timescale and budget.

Deliver key strategies, policies and procedures that enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.

Work cross functionally in order to ensure achievement of key knowledge transfer and deployment of best working practices across the business.

Manage behaviours to ensure they are conducive to the required business culture, maintaining a united and professional image.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER CORE DUTIES

  • Responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety of all your employees and that your area operates in accordance with Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide safety and quality leadership via the SHE and Quality infrastructure and visual management.  Actively promote improvements both individually and within the team.
  • Ensure personal and team compliance with all role related processes and/or internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively manage and adhere to budget (direct & overhead), working in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Actively promote PDR and MPR compliance to ensure that the performance and behaviours are conducive to the delivery of the team’s performance targets.
  • Establish and maintain an effective team, ensuring clear goals are set and appraised, and facilitate a culture which is aligned to the company’s vision and values.
  • Ensure relevant targets are delivered by regularly reviewing, reporting on progress and resolving issues.
  • Firmly support and embed engagement and communication strategies.
  • Ensure team works collaboratively across the functions to resolve problems, achieve objectives and deliver high standards of performance.
  • Lead by example in conforming to model behaviours, people and process management.
  • Ensure that a customer focussed approach is firmly embedded across all teams.
  • Ensure compliance and work within the parameters of ITAR.
