Job Title: Senior Designer - Electrical

Job Duties:

  • Designing and developing electrical systems and components for manufacturing processes
  • Creating detailed technical drawings and specifications
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to ensure designs meet industry standards and client requirements
  • Testing and evaluating prototypes to identify and resolve any electrical issues
  • Providing technical support during the manufacturing process
  • Keeping abreast of advancements in electrical design technology

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Professional accreditation in electrical design
  • Demonstrated experience in designing electrical systems

Education:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in electrical design

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools (training provided in required CAD software)
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry

Working Conditions:

This role is based in a manufacturing facility in Barrow-in-Furness, with a standard workweek of full-time hours. 4 day working week.
