Portfolio Data Analyst – Buy Side, Private Equity, Investments, Excel, Data – paying up to £42,500 + 15% bonus

A leading global private equity investment firm is looking for a Senior Analyst to join their high-performing Portfolio Data Team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced financial professional with strong technical skills and a background in private markets to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality data that underpins strategic investment and operational decisions. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that portfolio investment schedules and company financials, are accurately captured and reconciled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately capture exposure to underlying companies based on GP reports and third-party data sources
  • Maintain robust data integrity checks and assist in managing the relationship with third-party data providers
  • Provide training and support to Analysts and lead daily stand-ups to ensure workflow efficiency
  • Respond to portfolio data queries from investment teams and other internal departments
  • Work with development and operations teams to improve internal systems and processes

Ideal Candidate Background:

  • Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of private equity, fund structures, portfolio company valuations, and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Excel; experience with Business Objects or similar reporting tools is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset; high professional standards and judgement
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple deadlines
