Senior IT Project Manager - £700-£750 per day - Inside IR35 - contract until 31/12/2024 with extension - primarily remote with attendance to a site in Sunderland, Edinburgh or London.
My client, a major renewable energy company, specialising in wind power, solar power, and battery storage technology is looking for a highly experienced IT Project Manager to join them on contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Support: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of project managers, serving as an escalation point for queries and challenges.
- Project Management: Manage the full project lifecycle of multiple concurrent IT projects from mobilisation through to service acceptance.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with a diverse set of stakeholders to agree on solutions that meet a range of business demands.
- Methodologies: Apply both Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies as appropriate.
- Reporting: Coordinate the preparation and presentation of monthly reports to senior leadership, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Standards and Best Practices: Ensure adherence to templates, standards, and best practices within the project delivery function.
- Direct Project Management: Lead and deliver specific projects within the portfolio as required.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent IT projects.
- Demonstrable experience in leading a project delivery team.
- Broad IT work experience with exposure to various technical environments and technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of IT Service Delivery.
- Track record in managing the full project lifecycle, including mobilisation, design, development, testing, deployment, and service acceptance.
- Experience working with multi-location teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Advantageous: Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Technical Awareness/Knowledge: Strong understanding of various technical environments, software, hardware, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
