Senior Installation Engineer

Our client Scottish Power Renewables are seeking a Senior Installation Engineer for an on-going contract role based in either London or Glasgow.

Main Purpose of Job

Installation Engineer role is to support the IAC Package on East Anglia 3 project delivery. This role
reports to the lead Installation Manager.

Key Tasks

• Design & Implementation of T&I strategies, installation programmes and cost control for the project
• Review & Management of Contractor RAMS, Engineering Plans, Technical Queries
• Technical support to Claims, Value Engineering, Early Waning Notices
• Management of T&I Contractor’s offshore works including interface with Certification and MWS
• Review, approval, and management of change of the Contractors procedures and engineering studies
and analysis.
• Assist the Installation Manager in managing the Marine Warranty Surveyor approval process.
• Supervision of Contractor works which may include undertaking the duties of package engineering
representatives at Contractor’s premises or onboard installation vessels.
• Review and approval of the as-installed records.
• Responsible for providing support to the quality manager to ensure satisfactory close out of NCRs
relating to transportation and installation.
In addition to the core responsibilities and accountabilities the Installation Engineer may be delegated
additional responsibilities for health and safety management, budgeting, planning, procurement,
development of departmental procedures and reporting

Key Criteria

• Degree in relevant engineering discipline, quantity surveyor or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore wind or subsea discipline related to cables
• Demonstrable experience in:
o Subsea cables
o Installation Engineering (Trenching, Pull-in, Termination)
o Contract Execution (Variation, Claims, Technical Queries)
