T&I Ports Engineer

Our client are currently recruiting a T&I Port Engineer to join them on a contract basis.

T&I Port Engineer (Marshalling Yard) is to support the T&I Package on East Anglia 3 project delivery. This role reports to the Package Manager.

Key Tasks
• Oversight and Management of T&I Contractor’s works at the Marshalling Yard including interface with Certification and MWS,
• Design & Implementation of T&I strategies, installation programmes and cost control for the project.
• Review & Management of Contractor RAMS, Engineering Plans, Technical Queries.
• Technical support to Claims, Value Engineering, Early Warning Notices.
• Interface with other Packages for Contractor’s activities at the Marshalling Yard.
• Review, approval, and management of change of the Contractor’s procedures and engineering studies and analysis.
• Technical Support to Site Management for Offshore Installation activities.
• Assist the Installation Manager in managing the Marine Warranty Surveyor approval process.
• Supervision of Contractor works which may include undertaking the duties of package engineering representatives at Contractor’s premises or onboard installation vessels.
• Review and approval of the as-built records.
• Responsible for providing support to the quality manager to ensure satisfactory close out of NCR’s relating to transportation and installation.
• In addition to the core responsibilities and accountabilities the T&I Ports Engineer may be delegated additional responsibilities for health and safety management, budgeting, planning, procurement, development of departmental procedures and reporting.

Key Criteria
• Degree in relevant engineering discipline, quantity surveyor or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore wind or subsea discipline related to WTG Foundations
• Demonstrable experience in:
• WTG Foundations.
• Installation Engineering (piling, Heavy lift, SPMT).
• Load-in, Loadout, civil works
• Contract Execution (Variation, Claims, Technical Queries);
