Scottish Power Transmissions are looking for Quality Advisors to join them on a long term contract basis.
Role: Quality Advisor (Delivery or Assets)
Business: Scottish Power Transmissions
Location: Cambuslang/hybrid style working with other site visits
Duration: 12 month initial contract with scope of renewal
Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available

Assets Quality Advisor - Description
As the Quality Advisor – Assets, you will support the Senior Quality Advisor responsible for a multidisciplinary team of professionals assigned to multi-million-pound energy construction projects.
You will be responsible for quality processes throughout the free issue asset life cycle, from specification at order stage to handover to our Operations colleagues once the asset is live on the network.
You will plan, facilitate and execute inspection and monitoring processes and report analysis on a monthly basis to senior management review meetings.
Criteria
- Significant experience in a quality role
- IT proficient in Microsoft applications
- Significant process and Lead or Internal audit experience
- Proven ability to work and influence in a team environment
- Experience of supplier quality management is advantageous
- Strong people skills, presentation skills, and the ability to train
Minimum Criteria
- Trained Quality Lead or Internal auditor (ISO 9001:2015)
- Experience and understanding of HSEQ management systems, preferably within a commercially focused utility, service or construction business.
- Current valid driving licence
- Proven experience implementing new processes, engaging with stakeholders
- Understanding of quality tools such as 8D, 5WHY’s RCCA
- Experience working in helping reduce cost of poor quality
Delivery Quality Advisor - Description
The role involves supporting large-scale CDM projects with advice and monitoring for various internal & external QA/ QC compliance. The project types range from the refurbishment of existing Substations and Overhead Lines to new build Substations, OHLs and Underground Cable installation. The projects typically have disaggregated work packages with multiple Contractors involved in delivering one project broken into Civil, Enabling Works, Balance of Plant, Commissioning and Free Issue Material supply contracts.
Criteria
- Working knowledge of Inspection & Test Plans/Check-Sheets for construction projects.
- Working knowledge of raising and managing Nonconformances for construction projects.
- Analytical mindset with good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Current valid driving licence
- Understanding of QA/QC principles and ISO 9001 standard
- HNC or Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related Construction discipline (preferred).
- Site-based construction experience in a Civil/Electrical infrastructure environment (preferable)
- ISO 9001 Internal/Lead Auditor qualification (beneficial but not essential).
- CSCS card (preferable)
