Planner / Scheduler – Contact Centre
Location: Pride Park, Derby
Pay Rate: £28,000 per annum (£14.36 per hour)
Contract: 12-month fixed term (possible perm opportunity)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm
Working Arrangement: Primarily office-based, with hybrid working considered based on performance

Morson Talent is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Severn Trent for a Planner / Scheduler to join their newly formed team in Pride Park, Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing and essential function focused on reactive scheduling within the water industry.
About the Role:
You will be part of the WPNO Scheduling Team on the wastewater side, supporting a new project focused on managing reactive maintenance scheduling. This includes urgent situations such as leaks, pollution incidents, or other unplanned waste issues. Your role will be to schedule engineer visits quickly and effectively, ensuring that all urgent issues are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
This is a fast-paced, reactive environment, ideal for someone who has worked in proactive scheduling roles previously and thrives under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule urgent and reactive maintenance works across the waste network
• Coordinate engineer visits in response to pollution, leaks, or other unplanned incidents
• Work closely with the contact centre and field teams to ensure accurate and timely scheduling
• Maintain clear and accurate records using internal systems
• Follow standard operating procedures and training plans
• Participate in ongoing training and performance reviews
About You:
• Previous scheduling experience (any industry) is essential
• You will be logical, thorough, and confident working with a fast-paced, reactive workload
• Comfortable using IT systems and working in a contact centre or operational environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure
Additional Information:
• Initial 2–3 weeks of structured, paid training will be provided
• Training is reviewed weekly with clear milestones
