Our client is experiencing unprecedented growth, driven by increasing demand for their expertise across existing markets and the successful acquisition of new programmes. With offices in Dorchester, Gloucester, Knutsford, London, Newcastle, Warrington, and other locations across the UK, as well as flexible and hybrid working options, this role can be tailored to suit your circumstances. Full-time and part-time roles are available.

Why Join?

This opportunity allows you to work in a dynamic, supportive environment where you’ll be inspired to achieve your professional goals while making a meaningful contribution to the industry. As part of their commitment to attracting and retaining top talent, you’ll benefit from:

Competitive salary and benefits package.
Free single medical cover and digital GP service.
Enhanced parental leave pay and access to family-friendly programmes.
Reimbursement towards professional development and memberships.
Opportunities for paid volunteering, matched-funding, and charitable donations through community initiatives.
A focus on work-life balance, including flexible and hybrid working options.
About the Role

As a Nuclear Safety Case Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting projects throughout the nuclear lifecycle, from next-generation reactor technologies to maintaining and enhancing existing facilities. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure safety and compliance across national and international projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

Producing and managing safety case documentation.
Conducting hazard and risk identification and assessment studies, such as FMEA, HAZOP, and ALARP.
Carrying out internal and external hazard assessments.
Performing deterministic and probabilistic safety assessments (PSA).
Supporting nuclear licensing and authorisation processes.
Integrating safety principles into engineering designs.
Contributing to structural integrity assessments of nuclear-related structures and components.
Additionally, you’ll engage with clients, regulators, and third parties to understand challenges and deliver solutions. You’ll also have the chance to mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of technical expertise across the business.

What We’re Looking For

Our client welcomes applications from individuals with experience in any of the areas listed above or those interested in transferring into nuclear safety case work. Comprehensive training and mentoring will be provided to support your transition.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

A degree (or equivalent experience) in a STEM discipline.
Experience delivering projects in line with relevant standards and best practices.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
Chartered status (or equivalent) with a professional institute, or progress towards it.
