And right now, we’re looking for a Data Processing Engineer, to be based at our Gronau site.
Asset Performance is part of the Asset Management function, and performs a central role in the analysis and optimisation of Urenco’s enrichment assets across the Group with a strong focus on analytics around centrifuge enrichment technology. It provides a feedback loop of the status & performance of the assets. This is a foundation of the Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle to continuously improve and develop.

What will your day look like?

• Drive the next generation of data collection, being the custodian and conceptual developer/designer of state of the art, tailor made IT-applications and database systems.
• Play a key role in the Asset Performance team deals with a large scale of data from multiple data sources which require reliable collection, analysis and reporting processes in order to identify operational issues and optimisation opportunities as well as to drive performance dashboards and be utilised for technical reports
• The Data Processing Engineer will drive the next generation of data collection, processing and analysis of Urenco’s Group-wide asset data. This practically means working with various teams to reform data supply routes, building and manipulating databases, and helping the delivery of state of the art bespoke software.
• Working in close partnership with the external software developers and project managing the full lifecycle of eventual implementation of the software.
• Being able to determine the needs of the business, what date is needed and what software tools will be best suited to manage this data.
• Managing stakeholder relationships both within Urenco as well as externally and demonstrating outstanding communication skills.
• Championing the integration of the eventual software, including training on the usage of the software internally.
• Acting as a strong project manager and intelligent customer for external interface.
• Ensure that asset related data is available, accessible and ready to use. Data mining and processing, the flow of data from the sources to the final use
What do you need to be great at this role?
• Educated to Degree level a relevant discipline
• Degree in a technical field preferred Information Technology / Computer Science. Other disciplines (Physics/Engineering/Mathematics) are possible,
• Significant skills in applied Information Technology
• Knowledge on machine learning, big data and Industry 4.0.
• Good command of English (including report and presentation skills)
• Interpersonal and cross-cultural teams working and able to develop strong relationships.
• Beneficial: IT-Project management execution skills.
• Modelling and programming skills
• Able to simplify and present complex concepts/complex data to Stakeholders
• Working in a role such as IT project manager, data analyst which involves stakeholder liaison and excellent communication skills
