Portfolio Delivery Lead (Engineering)

Portfolio Delivery Manager / Engineering Delivery Lead with strong technical acumen and engineering background

Purpose of the Role:

• To support the Head of Engineering by owning and driving delivery across a complex digital transformation programme.

• Relieve pressure on leadership by actively solving issues, not just reporting them

• Represent in key meetings with senior stakeholders, including CTO and programme heads.

• Bring cohesion across multiple engineering teams, ensuring dependencies and risks are managed proactively.

• Ensure engineering quality, alignment, and delivery across use cases and technical pillars.

Key Responsibilities: Delivery Ownership & Coordination

• Own delivery across several cross-functional teams working on complex digital transformation.

• Track progress, surface risks, drive resolution, and follow through on solving them.

• Produce and drive weekly and mid-sprint delivery reporting and ensure follow-upon escalated risks/issues. 

• Provide technical oversight (not hands-on, but with enough experience to challenge and assess).

• Identify and resolve delivery blockers, environment issues, and engineering mis alignments.

• Understand the technical architecture, production readiness, CI/CD processes, and performance risks.

Very strong knowledge of the Microsoft Ecosystem.
