Support Specialist

Morson Talent currently have an exciting new position for a Support Specialist to work on behalf of our prestigious aerospace client in Yeovil. This position is to work on a full-time basis and will be an ongoing contract with the potential to go perm.

Work as part of the Process Optimisation Hub Team (either RFQ & Spares Hub or R&O Hub) on a day-to-day basis. Responsibility includes processing the appropriate activities through the gated process in order to provide an effective Customer service, contribute to DSA and turnover targets and maximise Customer satisfaction. It also includes supporting the Hub Team Lead.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

- Process Customer requirements (Spares, R&O and / or RFQ’s) in a timely manner, ensuring maximum efficiency.
- To ensure all Customer requirements are loaded to SAP accurately, in line with process documentation and in accordance with contractual commitments and flowdown.
- Ensure SLA’s within the gated process and shared mailboxes are adhered to.
- Support with the preparation of the presentation material and delivery of the monthly boardwalk to Senior Management team.
- Deliver objectives agreed with your Team Lead/Line Manager (this may include supporting the company KPI targets e.g. revenue or DSA,) or team owned activities such as burn down or reduction activities relating to spares or repairs.
- Liaise with the Off Site Centres and/or other internal stakeholders, as required.
- Support the SLICT team where required in all matters concerning the Customer.
- Represent Hub team as SME at meetings on request.
- Identify areas within the relevant process for improvement, efficiency and standardisation.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Undertake any other duties as directed by Management/Team Leads.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Excellent understanding of SAP and Microsoft packages, which include Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Interpersonal and strong team skills (ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the business both within and outside the department).
- Proven ability to work under pressure, to deadlines while ensuring quality and accuracy at all times.
- The Jobholder must be highly numerate with a high degree of written and computer data accuracy.
- The ability to maintain professionalism at all times.
- The jobholder must be qualified to HNC level (or equivalent) in an Aerospace or Business related subject or adequate relevant experience in a business related environment.
- The drive, flexibility and motivation to work in a cross functional and multi discipline team with long term and broad objectives.
- The ability to manage, prioritise and problem solve with minimal supervision.
- The Jobholder must be receptive to change and have a positive, proactive and flexible attitude.

DIMENSIONS

- Be prepared to attend courses for personal development or business need away from site if necessary.
- Receive mandatory and continuation training as directed.
- Carry out any other tasks within their capability and experience in support of the contract.

37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Hybrid - 1 day onsite (once training has been completed) - this may change at any time
Overtime - In usual circumstances, there is opportunity to work overtime per week (up to 10% pre authorised)
