Are you an experienced Financial Accountant looking to make a significant impact in the renewable energy sector? We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our Statutory Accounts & Consolidation Team in Durham, UK for a period of 8 months.
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP standards (FRS 101 / FRS 102).
- Assist in audit preparations and provide support during external audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Offer technical accounting assistance to various teams within the organisation.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives to meet changing business needs.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA).
- Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
Desirable:
- Understanding of accounting packages such as SAP.
- Experience in the renewable energy industry.
Skills:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise conflicting activities and be proactive.
