Head of Cost Verification

Head of Cost Verification / Head of Cost Management required for leading international consultancy working on major infrastructure projects in the UK.

Contract or permanent opportunities.
Rates and salary negotiable on relevant experience.
Hybrid Working arrangements with travel to either London or Birmingham offices 1-2 days per week.

Role Brief:
As Head of Cost Verification, you will lead in-depth Cost Verification Programmes in accordance with in accordance with the terms of contracts through substantive verification of costs and by assessment of contractors accounting and control systems.

Establish and lead robust Cost Verification Programmes to enable appropriate assurance over cost.
Leadership of appropriate Cost Verification processes to assess contractors compliance with the main conditions of contracts.
Ensure Cost Verification teams review and verify contractors controls and monitoring and accounting of costs.
Lead financial audit programmes to review and verify contractors financial accounting and cost accounting systems.

Experience Required:
Experience in Leading major complex and business critical Cost Verification projects across the public and private sectors.
Understanding of all commercial elements withing large, complex projects.
Expert experience of Cost Verification and audit assignments.
Ability to lead a team of Cost Verification experts in demanding major programme environment.
