About the Role:
Global Infrastructire agency seeking a skilled Protection & Control Engineer to support critical infrastructure projects across transmission and distribution networks. Youll be involved in the design, coordination, and commissioning of P&C systems for substations, ensuring protection integrity, grid reliability, and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and review protection & control schemes for substations (400kV/275kV/132kV)
Perform protection coordination studies and settings calculations
Produce detailed design documentation including SLDs, wiring diagrams, and relay logic
Support FAT, SAT, and site commissioning of protection systems
Interface with clients (e.g. National Grid, SSE, SPEN), project managers, and design teams
Ensure compliance with IEC/BS/EN standards and industry-specific protection requirements
Requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
Strong experience in substation protection and control systems
Familiarity with relays (e.g., SEL, Siemens, ABB, GE Multilin)
Experience with software tools like DigSILENT, ETAP, PSCAD, or Amtech
Knowledge of National Grid TP137/TP106 or similar utility standards
Strong documentation and project lifecycle experience
