Mobile Crane Driver

Morson Talent are recruiting for mobile crane operators for work on-site in Devonport dockyard in Plymouth.

Crane operators are responsible for lifting and moving materials around a site as safely and efficiently as possible, as a crane driver you need to be practically-minded, with an understanding of how to drive and maintain heavy machinery.

Role Requirements

Successful applicants will be required to undertake a wide range of tasks across site, you will be required to work on all platforms and projects within the Dockyard.

Shift working is a requirement for this role so the successful candidate would need to be prepared to work shift work and overtime to support the business needs.

Applicants must be prepared to

• Work at height and in confined spaces.
• Understand companies role as a business is desirable along with an understanding of process and procedures.
• Successful candidates must have a positive attitude towards conventional Health and Safety and be willing to challenge unsafe acts.
• Successful candidates will have a flexible and dynamic approach to working.
• Good communication & interpersonal skills.
• Be willing to present themselves clean shaven for a face fit test.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to work with radiations and in a nuclear environment cleaner and to work nightshift.
• Have a good Health and Safety and COSHH awareness.

Qualifications

Mobile Crane Operator with a valid CPCS card with A60 Mobile Crane Operator authorisation and HGV Class 2/Class C Licence.

Suitable applicants must be willing to undertake training for operating bigger cranes in-line with our skills and versatility process if needed.

12 month initial contract with immediate starts subject to security clearance.
