Senior & Principal level Building Surveyors required in the London area for a leading global Consultancy on a permanent basis.
Senior Role accountabilities
The key focus will be around TDD advice and reporting to identify key risks, the severity and quantification of these risks, along with recommendations for mitigation. The role includes predominantly Technical Due Diligence along with some professional work across a range of building types although largely commercial and with some heritage work.
The position includes a relatively high level of responsibility and accountability with an opportunity to develop managerial as well as technical knowledge and skills, and to progress within a successful and growing specialist team.
You will manage and undertake professional technical consultancy commissions including Technical Due Diligence, condition surveys and infrequently dilapidations and some projects etc.
You will effectively communicate ensuring all information is available for the successful implementation and completion of projects.
Liaise with the Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure efficient financial control resulting in a cost effective service.
You will ensure the Sector Director has quantified information on the progress of each contract on a regular basis
Support with mentoring and supervising our junior building surveyors
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Building Surveying and MRICS qualified
Excellent technical ability.
Multi-discipline experience.
A broad thinker who can take a global view and has an inherent ability to deliver successfully.
Ability to manage project risk.
Ability to be flexible to meet tight project deadlines.
Manage quality standards to ensure high quality output.
Understand the transaction process including requirements of funders.
Understanding of both technical and legislative requirements along with a good commercial awareness.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills enabling strong working relationships with clients
Principal - Role accountabilities:
- The role includes predominantly commercial building surveying work along with some Project Management across a range of building types although largely commercial. Experience in professional work such as dilapidations would be desirable.

- To demonstrate organic revenue growth and implementation of the business plan in terms of the commercial building surveying offering.

- To effectively communicate ensuring all information is available for the successful implementation and completion of projects.
