Job Title: Site Supervisor
Location: Gloucester, Cheltenham
Sector: Construction, Utilities, Rail, Highways.
Type: Permanent Role
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum*
**Base salary negotiable on level / relevant experience**
Job Purpose:
To oversee and manage daily operations on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate on-site activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Manage and motivate site teams, ensuring effective communication and adherence to project plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Resolve on-site issues and conflicts, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
- Manage materials and equipment, ensuring availability and optimal use on-site.
- Maintain detailed records of site activities and progress reports for upper management.
- Ensure all site personnel comply with health and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme), SSSTS, SMSTS, or equivalent.
- First Aid certification.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in construction or civil engineering projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
- Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
