Bids and Proposals Officer

Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a Bids & Proposals Officer to work on the behalf of one of our prestigious Aerospace clients based in Yeovil, Somerset. This is a contract until December 2025, with possibility of extension.
The primary purpose of this role is to manage the preparation of UK CS&T bids.
As a UK CS&T Bids & Proposals Project Officer you shall:
- Act as the proposal lead for nominated campaigns delivering services associated with Leonardo products and UK managed customers/products. In these instances, you will be responsible for:
- Management of the support bid & proposal programme in an efficient and effective manner to meet agreed performance targets and business requirements.
- Analysis of customer requirements and ensure dissemination of information to all dependant, contributory or major business functions for evaluation and input.
- Liaison and collaboration with functional teams to ensure coherence across the total CS&T submission.
- Collation of costs from functional areas, and the formalisation of functional and senior management authorisations to ensure the Proposal can be submitted to the business.
- Collation of functional area submissions, and assessment to ensure compliance of submission with original request.
- Maintain regular interface with stakeholders to define and agree bid/proposal requirements and ensure development of the Bid/Proposal meets the Customer’s expectation and business objectives.
- Manage the provision of support bid & proposal deliverables in accordance with business schedule.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Excellent team working skills and the ability to lead, interface with and manage virtual teams.
• Interpersonal and written communication skills, the ability to make sound assessments/judgements based on knowledge and experience, self-motivated and able to work as part of an integrated team.
• Keyboard skills, a working knowledge of computers and computer system applications.
Occasional Remote Worker (~90% onsite), 37 hours per week.
