Production Planner
£23.90 - £32.69 per hour
One of our Aerospace clients are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to support their SAP team in developing the real time data and insights to optimise supply chain processes. You will support the provision and planning of suppliers through a worldwide network of vendors and service providers. The overall focus is to maintain levels of provision to provide uninterrupted supply of commodities to their manufacturing base. Therefore we are looking for an experienced Production Planner that has involvement with material/supply demand management.
An increase in demand has generated this demand, therefore this role is being offered on a 12-month contract basis. You will be expected to work full time on site in Prestwick across a 37-hour week. We can pay a rate of £23.90 per hour PAYE or £32.69 per hour Umbrella inside IR35 (approximately equivalent to £46,000 per annum).
Key Responsibilities
- Support the data cleanse activates, deliver controls and improvement initiatives for the scheduling role on MRP.
- Lead the management of the Material / Commodity Bill of Materials.
- Manage the impact of changes to Stock / WIP, BOM, Commodity lead times and updates to Customer build schedules.
- Ensure that all provisioning activity is undertaken against an approved budget.
- Provide data and reports and KPI’s as detailed by a customer enablement contract.
- Manage backlog orders and production shortages / problems in a manner to ensure best possible support to protect Aircraft build programmes.
- Maintain an awareness of any potential supply risks and develop plans for risk reduction.
- Control of material planning date to optimise both material availability and reduce the cost of inventory.
- Support customs and excise defined activities relating to the import and export of shipments.
Requirements
- Production Planning experience within an engineering environment.
- SAP skills and knowledge.
- Exposure to Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience of communicating with internal production and external customers.
- Understanding of project management.
- Strong Microsoft knowledge, in particular advanced Excel and Powerpoint.
- Commercial understanding (P&L’s and Balance Sheets etc).
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be BPSS cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
