Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Aircraft Fitter to join our team in Filton, South West England, Gloucestershire. As an Aircraft Fitter, you will play a vital role in the Aerospace and Aviation industry, ensuring the safe and efficient assembly and maintenance of aircraft.

£25.41 per hour Umbrella / £19.21 per hour PAYE
Entitled to paid overtime over 35 hours

Days: Monday-Thursday 6:30am-3:45pm

What you can expect as an Aircraft Fitter:

• Work from engineering instructions and understand Aircraft Drawings
• Complete tasks to the required standards
• General tasks include the use of power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing
• 1st party certification will be required following successful completion of the relevant courses

You may need to work in a confined space (tank work), which includes restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress through oval shaped manholes.

As a Skilled Aircraft Fitter, we’re looking for candidates who have:

• Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship
• Indenture and City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC or Modern Apprenticeship Certificate, NVQ Level 2, 3, Key Skills level 2 and City & Guilds Level 2/BTEC ONC in a recognised engineering field
• Self-motivation with good communication skills
• An ability to work alone or as part of a team
• An openness to continuous improvement processes and new ways of working
• Knowledge and a high regard for Health and Safety standards
