Morson Talent are currently looking for a Maintenance Control Centre Engineer at Brize Norton, involving critical responsibilities in fleet operations and aircraft serviceability. 

Job Specifics:

  • Location: Brize Norton, Onsite.
  • Pay Rates: £30.22 per hour PAYE / £39.98 per hour Umbrella.
  • Rotation: 5,5,4 (likely referring to a work schedule of 5 days on, 5 days off, 4 days on).
  • Shift Hours: 12.5 hours per shift with an unpaid 30-minute break.
  • Shift Times: Alternating between 06:30am – 19:00pm and 18:30pm – 07:00am.
  • Shift Uplift: 12% shift uplift across hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the focal point for fleet operations, making critical decisions and managing escalations for continuous operations.
  • Provide reports on aircraft serviceability and readiness levels.
  • Coordinate recovery efforts for Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations.
  • Liaise with various teams including Logistics, Fleet Tasking, Availability Management, and Short Term Planning.
  • Monitor maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with operational limitations and notifying of any restrictions.
  • Communicate with Pt.145 Line Supervisors and RAF stakeholders regarding serviceability states and fleet readiness.
  • Enact Business Continuity and Disaster Plans during major incidents until relieved by senior personnel.
  • Liaise with external resources for efficient aircraft recovery and service restoration.
  • Provide out-of-hours cover for technical queries and operational tasks.
  • Manage applications for Concessions rectification, interval extension, and aircraft cannibalization.
  • Provide operational status information and daily briefings.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally, hold an EASA PT.66 engineer’s license or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in relevant communication and information systems (e.g., SharePoint, Q-Pulse, MDS).
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Military aviation experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Must hold a UK passport or equivalent and meet security clearance requirements.
