Fuel Systems Engineer
Filton, Bristol (hybrid role, 60% onsite) – 12 month contract – Pay rate £43.47 p/h PAYE basic (£49.79 p/h including holiday pay) or £57.50 p/h Umbrella
We are recruiting for a Fuel System Engineer to join our leading aerospace clients development team. The role will entail engineering activities associated with continued airworthiness and product development. Successful candidates need to have a background in aerospace engineering with a good knowledge of the associated regulations, system design principles and verification & validation. A knowledge of the specific internal system design processes would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Equipment qualification – Support the review of new Equipment Design Evolution Sheets from supplier, Specification updates and qualification of equipment due to scope creep of requirements in service.
- Production Support – Support queries from the various production lines on items such as test failures and improvement projects.
- Development modifications support – Work on providing inputs to modifications required for the development of the system including engineer variant changes, performance changes and changes related to equipment updates.
- Problem investigation support – This can include work on Major In Service Problems, Request For Works and Safety Related Items that support in service occurrences.
Requirements
- Proven ability within Aviation/ Aerospace in a Fuel Systems Engineer or Systems Engineer role.
- Ability to communicate with key stakeholders within the business, teams across the project and the wider team.
- Real time system controlling, using tools such as Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow etc.
Desirable
- Avionic Fuel Systems experience
- Project management experience
Additional information
This role shall operate Inside IR35.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Baseline Security Check prior to starting.
You will be required to support European based travel up to twice per year.
