Our client is a leading housing association with offices throughout the UK and we are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, based in Sheffield.

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key part in deliverying high quality projects that meet the needs of their communities.
Duties:
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor in overseeing the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from inception to completion
- Contribute to the preparation of detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, tender documentation, and contract documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in the evaluation of tender submissions, conducting thorough analyses to support informed decision-making.
- Participate in the contract administration process, including monitoring project progress, reviewing and evaluating variations, and preparing interim payment valuations.
- Support the reconciliation and agreement of final accounts upon project completion, ensuring accurate record-keeping and documentation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive cost plans, cash flow projections, and financial reports to present to senior management, facilitating informed decision-making and ensuring financial viability.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, attending site meetings and maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Contribute to value engineering exercises, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process optimization while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements:
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel across South Yorkshire and other locations as required
- HNC / HND in Quantity Surveying or construction related subject
