Paint Sprayer
Location: Western Approach ,Bristol
Morson are recruiting for a Paint Sprayer on behalf of a leading Aerospace Client - GKN Aerospace (Western Approach)
Initially a 3 month contract with high possibilty of extension.
Work pattern as follows:
12/6.5 shift - rotation between short and long week.
Short week is Weds and Thurs, 11.5 hours per day paid 6am-6pm.
Long week is 11.5 hours per day Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat and Sun is 6am-12pm.
First 2 weeks training on Core Days hours 7.30 to 15.30 - rate £18.43
Profile
To operate as a multi-skilled, flexible worked to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Tasks will be undertaken and worked through the use of:
Spraying, paint touch up and cleaning requiring the use of:
- Power tooling
- Solvents and primer paints are required
Key Deliverables
- Ensure parts are produced on a right first time basis
- Ensure that any calibrated equipment used is within date
- Responsible for the timely clearance of work phases using the SAP system
- Responsible for highlighting any non-conformance to the Process Team Leader
- Adhering to the requirements of the GKNAF Quality Procedures
- Accountable for Health & Safety requirements under the Section 7 of the HASAWA 1974
- To hold first party inspection approval (M02 status is subject to obtaining A stamp approval)
- Responsible for general housekeeping within the area
Key Skills
A recognised paint spraying indentured apprenticeship and ideally have previous manufacturing experience in a factory environment.
- Ability to work to standard operating procedures
- Must be able to work in a small teams with Process Team Leaders
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques to support GKNAF continuous improvement initiatives
- Self-motivated team player with good communication skills
- Aerospace or Automotive experience is essential
